Chilean delivery for Scania
CHILE Scania is to supply 231 city buses to the Chilean capital Santiago for its Transantiago integrated public transport system, connecting bus lines and the metro network.

Scania Irizar addition for North Somerset Coaches
North Somerset Coaches has acquired a Scania Irizar coach from Princess Coaches in Southampton, with another to arrive imminently. The 53-seat vehicle is LEZ Euro 4 compliant and has replaced a Plaxton Paramount.
Scania converts to bioethanol
Scania is taking further steps to reduce impact on the climate from its own operations – using eight renewable bioethanol rather than diesel fuelled trucks. The manufacturer said the move will reduce carbon dioxide emissions from it’s own goods transport services at its production facilities in Södertälje by 70%.
Scania to boost parts availability
Scania plans to boost its parts distribution capacity and is extending capacity at its central warehouse in Europe. A completely new parts warehouse will be built in South America. A total of SEK 400 million will be invested in these facilities, which will go into service during the first quarter of 2013.
