Positive results from Lothian customer survey
The results from Lothian Buses’ independently conducted annual passenger satisfaction survey show improved customer satisfaction levels. Keith Brown challenges Scottish fare increases
Scottish transport minister Keith Brown has challenged bus operators who say the BSOG cut has forced them to increase fares. The Scottish Government announced a 20% cut to the grant in January, stating they were designed to “encourage fuel efficiency and redistribute benefits, principally to rural areas”.
CBS advertising contract maintained with Lothian
CBS Outdoor has renewed its contract to manage advertising on Lothian Buses fleet for a further six years. It has held the contract since 2001. Lothian Buses profits from passenger rise
Lothian Buses has reported an increase in profits to £13m from £8.5m. The figures for 2010 also show passenger numbers grew by 1.9% to 109m. The municipally-owned operator said the rise in profits was also achieved by “careful cost control” and a “favourable fuel hedge position”.
